People coming and going are all part of the ebb and flow of our lives. One of our long serving sacristans, Bridie Whitfield, is retiring from duty this weekend. Thank you Bridie for your stalwart service to the parish and our priests. We hope you enjoy having a little more down time for many years to come.
We also have a new member of staff joining us in the office this week. Our secretary, Marian, has done a tremendous job over many years, but due to new legislation around the Charities Act, the workload has become unmanageable. Marian will continue as parish secretary but the financial management role will be taken over by Cathy Darling. Cathy will work approximately ten hours a week over two days, processing the financial accounts for the three parishes in our grouping. Welcome, Cathy, we hope you’ll be very happy here in St. Mark’s.
