The Rally for Life takes place this year on Saturday,
March 10th, at 2pm in the city centre.
We hope to organise a group from the parish to travel
together that day.
This is a time to stand up and be counted if we support the
protection of the life of the unborn child and their mothers.
More details later.

Why is cherishing human life so important?
The Catholic Church’s teaching on the dignity and value of
every human person is very special. Every life is precious
and beautiful. Some people feel the right to life of the
unborn should be a matter of personal choice for the
mother. Others maintain, while they are opposed to
abortion as a general principle, there are some children to
whom the right to life does not apply because they have
been diagnosed with a serious medical condition or
because they have been conceived as a result of rape. The
Church’s belief, based on reason as well as faith, is that
there is no such thing as a human life without value.
Famous people and Abortion
An interview with founder of Apple computers, Steve Jobs,
reveals that he was almost a victim of abortion. He states
“I wanted to meet my mother to thank her, because I’m
glad I didn’t end up as an abortion. She was 23 years old
and she went through a lot to have me.”
