Scripture Notes – Sunday 13th June 2021

With what can we compare the kingdom of God?

The Scripture Summer School began on June 1, with an introductory webinar (the recording may be viewed on our dedicated website.)

It is not at all too late to register and enjoy the 15 presentations.

  • Biblical Models of the People of God. (Jessie Rogers)
  • Experience of church in Mark’s Gospel, the book of Revelation and the First Letter of Peter. (Sean Goan)
  • The Pauline assemblies: Rows, Reconciliation, Renewal. (Kieran J. O’Mahony)

There will be a further webinar on June 22 @ 7.30 pm.

With the great cycles of feast ended, we return to the continuous reading of Mark’s Gospel, starting with the parables of the farmer asleep and the mustard seed. These seemingly “gentle” parables are very rich in potential for today.

If you have ever tried the Extra Gospel Exploration, perhaps now is the time.

The Readings

Some inspiration

Marty Haugen’s Gathered the love of Christ is quiet and powerful — you should easily recognise the base tune.

Wishing you every blessing,
