Parish Centre (‘Shalom’)

The Shalom Centre, located adjacent to St. Mark’s Parish Church in Springfield, Tallaght, serves as a vibrant hub for spiritual, pastoral, and community activities within the parish. Its name, “Shalom,” meaning peace, reflects the centre’s mission to foster unity and well-being among parishioners and the wider community.​

Functioning as the parish centre, Shalom hosts a variety of events and gatherings that cater to all age groups. One notable initiative is the Acutis Young Adult Group, which convenes monthly meetings for individuals aged 18–35. Beyond youth engagement, the Shalom Centre plays a pivotal role during significant parish events. For instance, during the Dublin Regional Mass in September 2024, the centre provided facilities for clergy to prepare and robe before the ceremony. Following the Mass, it hosted a reception, offering tea, coffee, and sandwiches to attendees, thereby reinforcing its role as a space for hospitality and fellowship .​ holysepulchre.ie
